Gas Prices

September 26th, 2007 at 11:18 pm

How is gas your way? I just stopped at the pump right here in town and the price was 2.46 a gallon.
I think that is pretty darn good! I am driving my son's car as he is not allowed to have it at college. It is 2002 Ford Focus. For me it has been a terrific car----- great on gas and practical to drive. It is a hatchback style. We are able to haul a lawnmower in it with the hatch closed. Roomy for five.....well roomy for five with most being kids.
It beats driving my large conversion van right now. Gas is still pricey but way better than it has been. The little Focus really helps me save money.

Average gas in the south,NC 2.85 gallon regular, me and my wife both driving so it is somewhere $80 a week.
I was looking at the opportunity to buy something that take less gas but it is not really cost effective when calculating interest and taxes.
I would like to see gas prices going down

Thankfuly both of my vehicles are paid for. I have thought about selling the van but it does not seem worth it at this point. I will drive it for as long as I can or till it falls apart. Judging by this van's history I will be driving this van around the retirment community! Your gas seems HIGH!!!
You are from a beautiful part of the USA--- how nice.

Here in Michigan, we have been paying around $2.99/gallon, but in the past two weeks, it was up to $3.15/gallon. Eeekk.
