First Christmas purchase!

Today I stopped by my fav outlet store and found a cute wooden praying angel.
It is a total knock off of the wood carved ones you see at Cracker Barrel and gift shops. My daughter has been wanting one. Cost? 99 cents! She is 11 so I think a knock off is OK. So yes...I made my first purchase.

Note to self.....walk by every roll of wrapping paper and gift bag. Even if it is super cheap!!! I am not allowed to purchase one shred of it! I have enough...I have enough! I have plenty!

So I guess I am off and running a bit in the Christmas gift department. I am sure some of you are done and even gift wrapped. I usually start with small stocking stuffers....and then work up to bigger items. My kids love their stockings! Unfortunatly they were made by my mom and she made them so large that it takes a small bank loan to fill them up!
So I have to get some Halloween candy to fill them up a bit! Apples help the cause as well.

Now where to store this angel and not forget about her!

    Not done here, but off to a good start as well--

    Out of towners need to be bought, packed and mailed by Dec 1 in my opinion. These are my side of the family (sisters, brother, parents, neices etc.)

    Sooooo-off to Susie's Deals where everything is $6 or less. And the DollarTree.

    Got sportswear for one family of four (zip up jackets and pants), sleepwear for one set of two parents. And 3 makeup bags filled with lipgloss, soap, hairbrushes, notepads, manicure tools for one set of 3 neices. Easy!

    Next tackle my parents....(virtually)

    WOW!!! Great ideas for gifts!
    I have two nephews that I usually see at Thanksgiving...so I need to get their gifts ready by then. That way I do not have to pay for shipping!
    Thank goodness for the Dollar Tree! Good Luck on your list and getting your parents gifted! You sound very well organized!

    That's great. I am a single mom of 2 girls and this is the first year that I am actually done shopping. I started after last Christmas. One of the main reasons that I am relieved is because I just found out that I will be losing my job as my company lost a huge contract with a major player.
    I send good wishes so that you can get your Christmas shopping donw without breaking the bank.
